Mexican Totem by Mary Drinkwater Supplies: Stamps Donated by Qwikart Art Stamps 9935 Southwest Landscape I-9 9863 Old West One Totem L-1 1/2 Sheet Rust Cardstock (folded in half 1/2 Sheet Ivory Cardstock Embossing Ink Gold and Copper Embossing Powder Ivory Magic Mesh Donated by www.HappyStamper.com 6 or 7 Different Soft Colored Ink Pads (Cats Eye work well) Gold Full Sized Brad Brightly colored fibers by Adornments Collection by EK Glue or Double Sided Tape Directions: Cut ivory cardstock in half. On one half apply six or seven different soft colors of ink using Direct to Paper technique. Gently swipe the various colors around the paper overlapping and blending as you go. Trim to 4"x 5 1/4". When completely dry, stamp and emboss the cityscape stamp in gold on the upper center. Attach to the front of the card. Cut a piece of Magic Mesh approximately 3 1/4" x 2 1/2". Attach to the card front at an angle. On the remaining part of the ivory cardstock, stamp and emboss the Totem image in copper. Cut out and apply to the card front over the Magic Mesh. Push a brad through the top left corner of the card front. Wrap fibers once around the brad and secure brad tightly on back of card front. |
