Cake by Karen

Dear Sandra and Sally:

I wanted to share with you this picture of a cake that I recently decorated using Qwikart images for my patterns.
I pulled out the flower stamps I wanted and just stamped with black ink (easier to see) on plain white paper. I then used the "cocoa" transfer method to arrange the flowers on the iced cake. The bigger stamps you carry would nicely fit on a smaller cake and you would not need anything other than a border. If you wanted a side decoration, you can always cut out your stamped shapes and use toothpicks to secure pattern and a toothpick to mark around them.

I would suggest tracing the stamped designs or running the stamped paper through a copier so no ink gets on the cake. Or, if you use the stamps exclusively for food, just use the new food markers to color the stamps instead!

I think the bugs, black cats, pumpkins, etc. would be cute on Halloween cupcakes and the small Christmas stamps would work well on frosted sugar cookies.

Just wanted to let you know I thought of another way to create "qwik" cake designs!

I will be sending you more cake photos soon.
