We are now carrying Angelina Fusible Film!

Approximate bonding temperature is around 225 degrees Fahrenheit (Silk Setting). Since
temperature gauges on irons vary widely even within most brand models, it is best to
test a small amount to determine your correct bonding temperature.

Jewelry or Embellishment Instructions

Supplies:

  • Angelina Fusible Film
  • Cut up CD pieces
  • Embossing Powder in several colors
  • Small spoon for applying Embossing Powders
  • Qwikart Art Stamp of your choice
  • Scissors
  • Jewelry attachments depending on your project
  • Hot Pot
  • Baking Parchment Paper
  • Paper Towels for clean up
  • Electric Skillet to warm CD
  1. Warm the cds in an electric skillet set at 200 degrees before cutting with scissors. This keeps them from splintering.
  2. Set your hot pot at 300 degrees for the cds and if using glass turn it all the way up.
  3. Cut a piece of parchment paper about 3 inches wide and 6 or 7 inches long. Turn the sides up so that you have wings.
  4. Put a piece of baking parchment in the hot pot with the sides (wings) sticking up so you can lift it out of the pot and place it on the table without burning yourself.
  5. Place the cd piece glossy side up in the hot pot.
  6. Using a small spoon carefully place several colors of embossing powder on top of the cd. Keep the embossing powder thinner around the edges and try not to get any embossing powder on the parchment paper.
  7. Place the lid on the hot pot and allow the embossing powder to melt. Your wings on the parchment paper will be sticking out from under the lid.
  8. Check frequently to see if the embosssing powder is melted.
  9. Take out of the pot by the wings on the paper and place on the table.
  10. Immediately cover the cd and melted embossing powder with a piece of Angelina Fusible Film that is slightly larger and stamp into it.
  11. Press down hard when stamping into the film. Move it to another spot and press before the embossing powder can cool if your piece is larger than your rubber stamp.
  12. Flip the parchment over and the cd/film piece should fall off. Do not pull up on the film to get the piece off your parchment paper.
  13. Wait until it cools a minute.
  14. Trim with scissors about 1/8 of an inch on all sides.
  15. Put the edge of the cd/film in the hot pot and press down while pulling towards you to seal the edge of the film to the cd.
  16. Wipe out the hot pot after each stroke to keep the embossing powder from getting on the film.
  17. Trim off embossing powder and small pieces of film from the backside with scissors after each stroke.
  18. Finish the back of the cd with decorative paper if using it for jewelry.
